Location. Sugar Palm Resort faces the white sand of Kata Beach and the Andaman Sea on the island of Phuket, Thailand. The resort is 500 meters from the Kata Shopping Center and five kilometers from Kata Viewpoint.

Hotel Features. Sugar Palm Resort features a spare, angular architectural style emphasized by its white exterior. Many of the resort's guestrooms are set around the large, meandering outdoor pool which is landscaped with sugar palms and areca trees. Royal Sugar Palm Spa, enclosed in glass, offers wraps, scrubs, Thai massage and other therapeutic treatments. Additional recreational amenities include a sauna, a steam room and a fitness center. Snorkeling, fishing and windsurfing are other activities available on site. Two Thai restaurants specialize in fresh caught seafood. Room service is available during limited hours. Complimentary buffet breakfasts are served daily. High speed wired and wireless Internet access are available in public areas and the resort also includes an Internet café. Pets are not permitted at the resort.

Guestrooms. The five story resort includes 108 guestrooms that reflect the architecture of the resort: simple, contemporary lines and design. Rooms offer varying accent color schemes that include pink, purple, orange, yellow and green. Amenities include DVD players and DVD libraries, direct dial phones, safes and complimentary wireless Internet access. Rooms also include complimentary bottled water, refrigerators with minibars, bathrobes and slippers.

Expert Tip. The Kata Viewpoint, located five kilometers from the resort, offers panoramic views of Kata and Karon beaches and Pu Island. The spot is a popular location for watching sunrises and sunsets over the Andaman Sea.
