Kathryn King, a Singapore based interior design firm, conceived the guestroom style and decor. Lighting was designed by London's distinguished Isometrix firm. Natural materials include Makha wood from Thailand combined with oxidized brass paneling. Paintings by Natee Utarit, a burgeoning Asian artist, are hung throughout the guestrooms. Beds are draped with Egyptian cotton linens, and goose down duvets and hypoallergenic pillows are available on request. Bathrooms, composed of mosaic and limestone, include Como Shambhala toiletries, bathrobes, slippers and telephones. Room amenities include refrigerators, minibars and complimentary bottled water.
Expert Tip. Lumphini Park, located two blocks away, boasts Thailand's first public library, and provides a location where visitors can witness uniformed Thais practicing Tai Chi, rent paddle boats or catch the sky train.
