Location. The Baan Hin Sai Resort is located on the Thai island of Koh Samui. The resort faces the ocean two kilometers (1.2 miles) from both Lamai and Chaweng Beaches. It is a one and a quarter hour flight from Bangkok to the Koh Samui airport.
Hotel Features. This resort welcomes guests with a light and breezy open air lobby. Thai style chalets comprise the accommodation. There are two swimming pools (one a children's pool) and two restaurants, one of which faces the ocean. The Silarom day spa is open daily and is also sea facing. The Chomview Restaurant serves Thai and international cuisine daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tiew Klune Restaurant is a seafront restaurant, also serving Thai and international cuisine daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Roum Ruen poolside bar serves light snacks and drinks during the day.
Guestrooms. All rooms have Thai décor with teak furnishings. Amenities include air conditioning, cable/satellite televisions, IDD telephones, minibars, hair dryers, coffee/tea makers and personal safes.
Expert Tip. Hin Ta Hin Ya are unusually shaped rocks to be found at south Lamai beach. A local story tells of an old man and woman whose ship ran aground in the bay. Their bodies were washed ashore creating the rocks.
From Koh Samui International Airport (USM): Approximate distance to the hotel is 10 kilometers (6.2 miles). Getting there. Taxis are the most practical method of transport to the hotel.
