What To Expect

Erawan Shrine (Thao Mahaprom Shrine)
We’ll meet up outside the BTS Siam Station. From there, we’ll walk to the Erawan Shrine. This shrine houses the statue of Phra Phrom, (the Thai representation of Brahma) the Hindu god of creation. The statue has four faces, each symbolizing the four directions of north, south, east, and west. Locals flock here to pay homage to this deity as it is said that he can get rid of difficult obstacles and bestow fortune and success upon individuals.

Lakshmi Shrine
After making an offering at Erawan Shrine, we’ll head to Lakshmi Shrine, hidden away in a corner of the fourth-floor outdoor terrace at Gaysorn Village shopping mall. This small shrine features a small golden statue wrapped in a delicate pink robe. The Hindu goddess Lakshmi is said to be the goddess of business, wealth, and good fortune. You’ll find many entrepreneurial-minded visitors making offerings to the deity, praying for their business success.

Trimurti Shrine
Our last stop of the tour is the Trimurti Shrine. Situated near a busy intersection, at the corner of Central World Plaza, this shrine may look quotidian at first glance. However, the numerous visits from locals who regularly make offerings to the Hindu god say otherwise. The Trimurti Shrine is said to be comprised of three powerful Hindu gods – Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer. Combined, they become the lord Trimurti, the god of love and unity. This is commonly visited by romantics who offer prayers for their soulmates.
