What To Expect

Museum Siam is a discovery museum on Bangkok's Sanam Chai Road. In 2007, the museum opened in the old Ministry of Commerce building. It was developed to teach Thai people about their national identity and history, as well as their interactions with other cultures. The museum's tagline is "Play + Learn = "; the museum depicts Thailand's evolution from the past to the present through a series of interactive displays.

Bangkok City Pillar Shrine
The City Pillar Shrine, located across the street from the eastern wall of Wat Phra Kaeo to the southeast of Sanam Luang, has a wooden pillar constructed by King Rama I in 1782 to commemorate the capital's establishment. The pillar's spirit is revered as the city's guardian god, with hundreds of Thai devotees flocking daily to pay tribute and offer prayers.
