What To Expect

Lad Koh View Point

We’ll pick you up from your hotel lobby at around 8:30 am and head for the ultimate orientation to the entire island of Samui. Many parts of Samui’s coastline are praised for its beauty as where the green heart of this island is home to some dense, unspoilt jungle.

Our tour brings us to the famous Viewpoint at Lad Koh for the best opportunity to take photographs of the beautiful and picturesque vista of Chaweng Beach. This is one of the easiest-to-reach breathtaking viewpoints on the island.

Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks

The tour continues onto Lamai to observe one of nature’s peculiar wonders; the “Hin Ta Hin Yai” translated as the Grandmother and Grandfather rocks shaped like male and female genitals, a highly popular fertility symbol. Supporting the elephant most sustainably is one of the responsible highlights of this day, and the elephant camp we include in this tour does precisely that. Witness the gentle character of the national animal of Thailand and the work that is done to preserve one of Thailand’s national symbols.

The journey continues to a small traditional fishing village to see the Samui of old. Continuing with the animal theme, we view an entertaining performance by some of the monkeys employed in the coconut harvesting industry. Watch the amazing trick the monkeys use to pick only the freshest coconuts. After a refreshing drink of coconut juice freshly picked from a tree, you can browse a small handicraft centre that recycles empty coconut shells into a selection of household items.

Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai)

After some time shopping in the island’s capital Na Thon, there are more photo opportunities, with a visit to the iconic Big Buddha statue and the adjoining temple compound. Lunch at a local restaurant is included.
