Grasshopper Adventures - Bangkok Bike Tours

Gather at the Grasshopper Shop - Meet at the Grasshopper Adventures Shop across MRT Sam Yod station next block to Miramar hotel at 5:30 pm. The night tour will depart at 6 pm sharp, so make sure you allow plenty of time to get here, accounting for peak hour traffic. After a quick bike fitting and briefing it's time to head out, staying off the main roads we'll pedal our way through small laneways, past ancient temples and canals to see the heart and soul of Bangkok.

Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun)

Cycle and ferry to Wat Arun

After passing through Thammasat University we cross the Chao Phraya River by ferry. Crossing the river around sunset can be quite lovely. Once across we cycle quiet back roads to Wat Arun, the Temple of the Dawn. At night, Wat Arun is spectacularly illuminated and free of the throngs of day tourists so you can enjoy the serene ambience of the temple.

Pak Khlong Talat (Flower Market)

Our next unforgettable stop is the world-famous Bangkok flower market. The largest wholesale flower market in Thailand.

Crossing the Chao Phraya bridge, we stop at the flower market which is at its busiest this time of night and the market is a riot of colour and activity. On the walk through your guide will treat you to some of Thailand’s famous street food.

Giant Swing or "Sao Chingcha" area has been the center of Bangkok since Rattanakosin period to present. It was constructed in the reign of Rama I after he had decided to extend the city from the west or Thonburi since King Taksin's time to the east.

Return to the Grasshopper Shop

Biking on past the Grand Palace we find ourselves in Sanam Luang from which we can see the sparkling chedis of the palace. Cycling again through the back streets of Bangkok’s historic old city we'll finish the evening’s bike tour back at our shop in the Khao San Road area.
