What To Expect

Wat Phu Khao Thong (Golden Mount)
We will pick you up at the hotel in the city center area and go to Ayutthaya. It’s about 80km from Bangkok.

With nickname is the land of the golden pagoda, Thailand is one of the largest Buddhist countries in the world with more than 95 percent of the Buddhist population. It is also understandable that there are about 40,000 temples operating in this country.

You will go to the first temple for this tour, Wat Phu Khao Thong (Golden Mount) was built in 1387. To stand at the top of the temple, you have to climb 344 steps of the spiral staircase. On the way up, you will see many bells with different sizes.

Wat Lokaya Sutha is a temple located at Ayutthaya Historical Park, in the city of Ayutthaya. The temple is located on a large area surrounded by 3 rivers: Chao Phraya, Khlong Khu Mueang, and Khlong Tho canal. Next to the temple, there are two other monuments, Wat Worapoh and Wat Worachettharam. It is famous for the Giant reclining Buddha statue with 8m high and 30m long.

You will visit another temple is Wat Mahathat. It is aslo in Ayutthaya Historical Park. Wat Mahathat was the heart and soul of Ayutthaya people.

Moreover, there is a beautiful, gentle Buddha face that brings a feeling of peace to everyone. According to legend, there were people who brought the head of a destroyed Buddha statue and put it in a tree. Then, the roots embraced Buddha's face which becomes a signature of this place. You can find images on the Internet easily.

You will enjoy the lunch in local restaurant and take a rest before continuing the tour.

Move to the next point, Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit. The temple of Wihan Phra Mong, one of the temples with Thailand's largest golden Buddha, is 12.5m high but was badly damaged by fire in 1700 by the Burmese army. The statue was restored in the 20th century.

For the last destination, you will go to Summer Palace. It lies 18km south of Ayutthaya city. The palace is surrounded by a large lake that creates a wonderful setting as well as a natural air-conditioner for this area.
