What To Expect

Wat Umong
After Pick up, we will visit Wat Umong. This temple set in the forest is completely different from other typical temples, this one is built inside a tunnel. Enter the tunnels of Wat Umong and see the impressive Buddha images. It doesn’t matter what religion you have. When you go inside the tunnel, it whispers to you the secrets of this world and the old history of this temple built in 1297.

Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep
Re-board the minivan and drive rolling hills surrounding Chiang Mai to experience the Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Then Climb a staircase of 306 steps leading to Doi Suthep temple. This staircase leading to the site is adorned with the impressive body of the mythical dragon-headed serpent, or Naga, snaking its way down 306 steps.

This is definitely the best way to approach the temple but there is also a funicular railway if you are less steady on your feet. Reaching the top, admire the Lanna-style golden pagoda covered with engraved gold plates, flanked by four ornamental umbrellas, and a fantastic Night city view from the mountain.
