Overview

Kanchanburi is the ultimate go-to destination for an education of World War II history, as it was the base of Japanese soldiers during the War. Made popular by the movie, The Bridge on the River Kwai, its tourist attractions include the Death Railway, Bridge over the River Kwae (Kwai), war cemeteries and museums. It is also the gateway to some of the most beautiful national parks of Thailand, like the Erawan National Park, Sai Yak National Park and Tree Top Adventure Park.
