Overview

About an hour from Hua Hin is Pala-U, a beautiful waterfall with 16 levels. Pala-U is located in Kaeng Krachan National Park, Thailand's largest nature reserve, which stretches west to Burma. What To Expect

Huay Mongkol Temple
Wat Huay Mongkol temple is actually a complex of temples which is the home of the biggest monk statue in the world – the statue of the famous monk, Luang Phor Tuad.
The famous monk, Luang Phor Tuad, was born 400 years ago, at the end of the Ayuthaya period, in Nakhom Si Tamarat, (in south Thailand). Luang Phor Tuad was famous for doing miracles and the Thai people believe his image holds protective powers to keep them from nature disasters and the evil eye.
The monk, Luang Phor Tuad, is a holy man admired by many of the Thai people who come to pay him their respect from all over Thailand.
Thai people also believe that carrying an amulet of Luang Phor Tuad keeps the evil eye away and brings them good luck. There are some small shops selling these amulets and some other memorabilia at the park.

Kaeng Krachan National Park

Kaeng Krachan National Park is the largest national park of Thailand. It is on the border with Burma, contiguous with the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve. It is a popular park owing to its proximity to the tourist town of Hua Hin. It was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 26 July 2021

Pala-U Waterfall
Reach Pala U Waterfall and walk inside the Jungle until to the nicest place where you can swimming. The name of "Pa Lau Waterfall" is derived from the word "La-U" in Karen language, which means "bamboo" because the area of this waterfall is fulled of bamboo.Pa La-U Waterfall is located in Kaeng Krachan National Park on an area of approximately 437,000,000 square meters with the abundant nature and wildlife. The wild animals that are easily seen include gibbons, elephants, hedgehogs, and rare birds such as the red-headed trogons, green-billed malkohas, great slaty woodpeckers, rusty-breasted Cuckoos, etc. It is considered as another suitable place for bird watching. The waterfall has a total of 15 cascades with individual different beauty. Climbing up to higher level is more difficult, respectively. The staff recommended visitors to climb up to the 5th level due to the steep path limited for security.
