What To Expect

Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub)
Our day begins with an approx. 90-minute drive to the coast south-west of Bangkok. On the way we drive past traditional sea salt manufactory - here sea salt is produced by natural drying outdoors. Then it's off to one of the largest and arguably most extraordinary seafood markets in Thailand! Experience from two perspectives how the railway market and the train share the common space on the tracks in a spectacular way: first you take the train to the station, then you watch the train exit from the track. You will be amazed at how routine chaos can be!

Coconut Sugar Farm
Here you can experience how coconut nectar is made by Thai farmers. Learn all the steps from cutting the coconut flower, pouring the nectar into a bamboo container, boiling and pasteurizing the nectar.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
The markets in Thailand are among the most important experiences in the country. They give you a vivid insight into the traditional culture of a country that often lives on and from the water. The bustle of the many small trader boats has been admired here for over 100 years! There is mainly fresh Thai fruit and vegetables, but also ready-made dishes such as mango with sticky rice, coconut ice cream or the typical boat noodles.

Wat Bang Kung
We take a trip past extensive orchards to the "forgotten temple" and its golden Buddha inside. Marvel at this little temple that has been "forgotten" over the decades and completely overgrown with a banyan fig, and learn about the history of bloody battles.

Klong Kone Mangrove Forest
With growing environmental awareness since the 1990s and the massive environmental damage caused by the tsunami in 2004, reforestation of mangrove forests has become a high priority in Thailand. They protect coastal areas from erosion and contribute to biodiversity in nature. Active reforestation has been going on in Klong Kone for years, and we can see the results directly on site by boat. Here we also enjoy lunch at one of the authentic Thai restaurants along the river.
