Our first stop is at Wat Traimit. Standing at the end of Yaowarat road, this temple is famous for the Buddha it houses, The Golden Buddha. This massive Buddha statue measuring 5.5 tons is made from solid gold since the 14th Century. It is so valuable that it has to be covered with a layer of plaster and concrete to hide its real value during the time of war
