Overview

This private 2-day tour will let you experience the authentic hill tribes of Chiang Mai, such as the Kayan Long Neck, Karen, Lahu and more, in a responsible way. Travel with a local guide, who will open up cultural doors for you to experience daily life with the hill tribes. We travel through the countryside of Chiang Mai, enjoy lush green nature and explore local life along the way. Surrounding the villages are sub-tropical forests, farmland and rice terraces. Stay overnight with a hill tribe family in their traditional stilt house, and enjoy a unique hill tribe cultural immersion experience.

The tour includes an overnight at a hill tribe home stay in a village. Conditions are basic, with no electricity, no hot shower and simple bedding on the floor. Bedding and mosquito nets are provided. You are welcome to bring your own sleeping bag
We cannot guarantee what you will see/do in the village, as the tour follows the natural rhythm of village life. But you will have the chance to meet villagers, be invited into their homes and to see how they live
