What To Expect

Wat Chedi Luang Varavihara
Wat Chedi Luang, this temple is the site of an enormous pagoda, originally 280 feet high, and was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1545. At one time, Wat Chedi Luang housed the revered Emerald Buddha image now enshrined in Bangkok’s Wat Phra Kaew. One of Wat Chedi Luang’s most striking architectural features is a magnificent Naga staircase adorns the chapel’s front porch.

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep
It is a tremendous temple complex with a visual delight every time you turn your head. It is popular with the tour buses, but wait for the tour to move on and enjoy it. Give yourself plenty of time and you will not be disappointed.

Wat Pha Lat
This temple is the ancient precursor (lower on the mountain) than Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. While a little less grand than it's younger sibling, it is steep with history, reverence, and peace. Boasting beautiful views of the city of Chang Mai, it is built on a stream with a seried of waterfalls. A terrific place for meditation or simple reflection. Go!!

Tha Phae Gate
Romantic, Beautiful, Enchanting - these are the three words that I could sum up experiencing one of Chiang Mai's historic gates - The Tha Phae gate. When the city was founded by King Mangrai in 1296 these gates together with other gates (Chang Puak, Chiang Mai, Pratu Soan Dok) protect the old city. Tha Phae gate lies on the east of the city and made of Red bricks stone.

Incredible way to tour temples

Num was incredible, simply put. He has a deep knowledge of each of the temples, knows local vendors along the way if you have shopping requests (we were looking for a gong), and had an infectious and positive energy about him every step of the way. He was always up for taking pictures (huge plus for us), and has an amazing talent for finding great lighting and the perfect spots for capturing the breathtaking views and highlights.

Would 10/10 recommend Num to anyone - easily one of the best experiences we had throughout our two week Thailand trip!
Highly recommend!

My husband and I were debating whether we wanted to book a tour or plan the temple trips ourselves, and we are so glad we booked a tour. Our tour guide and driver were really nice and were able to answer all of our questions. Having transportation made it super easy to go from place to place and learn more about the culture. We would have been lost trying to get to the places by Grab in the rain. Highly recommend! Thanks Som(?) and driver Yom (?)!
Great half-day adventure

Nes was great! We learned about each site - each was unique and together they offered a nice variety.

All three temples were beautiful, but we liked Wat Pha Lat the most. It is also called the secret temple and now we now why! Hidden in the jungle...
Good half day tour for highlights of Chiang Mai temples

Good tour to see highlights of Chiang Mai. Our tour guide did struggle with English which made communication hard on both sides
